We are sadly concluding our Halloween season of watching Tim Burton Christmas movies. Just like Frosty or the Great Pumpkin, it will be back at some point but until then, enjoy the ultimate Halloween/Christmas collaboration of Underground Inc. and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
With the movie being shorter than usual, we didn't get to talk about the film and it's important elements as much we would have liked to but there's still a lot to get out of it. Join Billy, Ben, Jack, Sally and the rest of the gang as we go through the Hinterlands (the Holiday trees) of Halloween Town, Christmas Town, Easter Town (when the Oogie Boogie kids accidentally steal the Easter Bunny) and... St. Patrick's Day Town?

For this episode we went fishing into all of Tim Burton's films and pulled out one Big Fish.
William Bloom: You know about icebergs, Dad?
Edward Bloom (senior): Do I? I saw an iceberg once. They were haulin' down it down to Texas for drinkin' water. They didn't count on there bein' a elephant frozen inside. The wooly kind. A mammoth.
William Bloom: Dad!
Edward Bloom (senior): What?
William Bloom: I'm tryin' to make a metaphor here.
Edward Bloom (senior): Well, you shouldn't have started with a question, because most people wanna answer questions. You should've started with "the thing about iceberg is"
You ever had one of those friends who is a one upper? Always telling fantastical stories that you know can't be true? Even in a moment that is meant to be your own?
Well that was William Bloom's whole life. His dad always told these fantastic stories but he never really felt like he knew who his dad was. After 3 years(a significant time in this story) of not talking to his dad William goes on a journey through time, imagination, and old fashioned looking through papers in the garage to figure out who his dad was before his dad's time is up.
It is a real feel good movie that left us thinking of our friend Jeff and how he left more smiles then tears in the end.

Such a beautifully made and told story. It's a modern day Frankenstein. So loved and then cause of one little incident, hated.
The tones of the film are an interesting look at society from the perspective of both Edward and the Suburbanites (that sounds like a band name) as things are bright and colorful for Edward and things get drama filled and gossipy for the folks of Townsville.
This is one of Billy's all time favorite movies so you can hear him gush all over it.
Enjoy another riveting look into Underground's Tim Burton Christmas Halloween Extravaganza!

When deciding what theme to go with for October, it got a little
schizophrenic. Do we go with Horror films? Do we go with Tim Burton
films? Sure! How about we start with Batman Returns? That's a Christmas
movie. Okay, lets go with Tim Burton Christmas movies. For October? Yep!
That's pretty much how that was decided, lol. Batman Returns is held up
there as one of the best Batman films and most definitely in our eyes as
the best representation of what Gotham is meant to be! We've got all
kinds of fun things to talk about with this one so buckle in cause the
Batmobile is going to take you through one Hell of ride through the
This episode contains spoilers to this film and possible other movies.
